THE PROGNOSIS IS ON A BAD CONNECTOR WITH A BAD PIN-SOCKET. REPLACED CONNECTOR AND CHECKED VOLTAGE AT THE CONNECTOR.

ODOR CAME DURING APPLICATION OF T.O. PWR UP TO ABOUT 5,000 AGL. SUSPECT NR 1 ENGINE CAUSE OF SMELL . BOROSCOPE NR 3 BRG COMPARTMENT FOR ANY EVIDENCE OF OIL. NR 1 ENGINE 4 FAN BLADES HAVE NICKS BLADES HAVE NUMBERS 28,17,18, 26. BLENDED BLADES PER UA SPECS. REPLACED NR 1 ENGINE.

AMIS WRITE UP IMPROPERLY REPORTED PARTIAL OPENING OF DOOR. SLIDE WAS BLOWN AND OPERATED NORMALLY. EMERGENCY RESERVOIR BOTTLE WAS REPLACED. DOOR SLIDE ASSY WAS REINSTALLED. OPS CHECK WAS OK. ALL CHECKS WERE OK.
DURING RIGHT ENGINE BORESCOPE, FOUND TWO HIGH PRESSURE TURBINE VANES WITH A V-TYPE CRACK. TOTAL CRACK LENGTH EXTENDS GREATER THAN .25 INCH ON EACH VANE. REPLACED RIGHT ENGINE FOR HEAVY MAINTENANCE VISIT.
SLIDE REMOVED FROM AIRCRAFT FOR TIME CONTROLLED OVERHAUL. UNIT FAILED AIR RETENTION DUE TO POROSITY ON THE UPPER AND LOWER TUBE. SCRAPPED INFLATABLE UNIT, REPLACED WITH NEW.
