PILOT REPORTED RIGHT MAGNETO WAS INOP. REMOVED MAGNETO AND DISASSEMBLED. FOUND SHAFT END WITH CAM AND ROTOR GEAR SHEARED. LOCATION OF SHEAR WAS AT BASE OF CAM SLOT. POSSIBLE MANUFACTURING DEFECT AS CAUSE.
