THE FRACTURE SURFACE WAS DIRTY, INDICATING THAT THE VANE ARM BROKE IN SERVICE, AND NOT AT DISASSEMBLY. THE BROKEN ARM RESULTED IN AN HPC BLADE TIP FRACTURE, AND SUBSEQUENT DOWNSTREAM HPC DAMAGE.
