COMPLIED WITH THE QRH AND LANDED UNEVENTFULLY. CORRECTIVE ACTION: MAINTENANCE FOUND THAT THE PLUG D41654J PIN 12 HAD FAILED AND REPLACED THE PLUG, PER BOEING SWPM 20-61-11. VERIFIED FLAPS AND SLATS OPERATED NORMALLY WITHOUT ANY FAULTS. OK FOR SERVICE.
DURING THE CLIMB, WHEN PASSING FL220 AND AT 300 KTS, THE CREW NOTICED THE "LE FLAP ASYM" EICAS MESSAGE ALONG WITH THE "LEADING EDGE" LIGHT. THE QRH WAS COMPLIED WITH AND A VISUAL INSPECTION REVEALED BOTH OF THE SLATS WERE UP. THE FLIGHT CONTINUED TO AN UNEVENTFUL SCHEDULED LANDING. CORRECTIVE ACTION: MAINTENANCE FOUND HIGH ELECTRICAL RESISTANCE IN SOME CONNECTIONS AND REPLACED THE SLAT POSITION TRANSMITTER. OPERATIONAL CHECK WAS GOOD, PER B757 AMM 27-51.

THE RIGHT SIDE NUMBER 4 CABIN DOOR EMERGENCY SLIDE LIGHT WAS INOPERATIVE. FOUND SOLDER FLUX ON THE SOLDERED CONNECTION OF THE LIGHT ASSEMBLY. CLEANED THE CONNECTION ON LIGHT ASSY AND RESOLDERED CONTACT ON THE LAMP. CHECK-C 3-14-99 LAX.
