Maintenance disclosures
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM FAILURE ON TAXI. BUS TIE OPENED, MULTIPLE SYSTEMS SHUT DOWN, CAWS, MASTER WARNING AND CAUTION ILLUMINATED. UPON SHUT DOWN, SMOKE AND FUMES FOUND COMING FROM THE TAIL CONE OF THE AIRCRAFT. BATTERY WAS DISCONNECTED IN HOPES THAT IT WOULD STOP THE BURNING. THE MECHANIC INSPECTED THE ISSUE AND INFORMED THAT THE AC UNIT HAD SEIZED BUT THAT THE AC CIRCUIT BREAKER DID NOT OPEN. POWER WAS CONTINUING TO THE SYSTEM AND THE MOTOR AND CIRCUIT BREAKER HAD BEGUN MELTING DOWN. IF WE HAD TAKEN OFF, THIS WOULD HAVE LIKELY RESULTED IN AN IN-FLIGHT FIRE IN THE TAIL CONE.
CABIN PRESSURIZATION DUMPED WHEN CLIMBING THROUGH FL200. SYSTEM WOULD NOT RESPOND TO ANY INPUTS TO THE CONTROLLER. IS AIRCRAFT HAS BEEN RETURNED TO REVENUE SERVICE, REF # MEC-012747. REPLACED PINCHED O-RING ON INLET TUBE TO COLD AIR UNIT, TEST FLIGHT WAS GOOD.
BEEN RECEIVING BATTERIES (P N# RG-380E/44)FROM VENDOR ISATAIR IN FLORIDA AS BEING REPAIRED AND NONE ARE HOLDING APM,S WE ARE CONSTANTLY HAVING FLAP RESETS AND ON THE VERGE OF HAVING HOT STARTS. ORDERED NEW BATTERY AND HAVE NO PROBLEMS TILL THE 200HR CAP CHECK BATTERIES ARE INSTALLED WHICH ARE ON A MINDER TILL INSTALLED. EVERYTIME WE TURN THEM IN FOR CAP CHECK I REQUEST A NEW BATTERY AND KEEP RECEIVING THE OLD ONE BACK SAYING REPAIRED LIKE TO GET RID OF THE OLD ONES AND RECEIVE NEW ONES
