VENDOR TEARDOWN OF R/H OVER WING EMERGENCY EVACUATION SLIDE BOTTLE S/N 4733 CONFIRMED FAILURE OF UNIT. UNIT WAS FOUND TO HAVE LOW PRESSURE DUE TO A LEAK, REPAIRED LEAK AND PERFORMED LEAK CHECK. MAINTENANCE ACCOMPLISHED IAW CMM 25-65-17, REV. 8.
ON CLIMBOUT, EN ROUTE WHLE SELECTING FLAPS UP THE CAPTAINS PRIMARY FLIGHT DISPLAY INDICATED A BROKEN POLE OF 230 KTS, AND THE OVERSPEED WARNING HORN WOULD GIVE A CONTINUOUS ALARM IF THE AIRSPEED EXCEEDED 230 KTS. TURNED BACK TO RDU AND LANDED WITHOUT FURTHER EVENT. MAINTENANCE REMOVED AND REPLACED THE NR 1 AIR DATA INERTIAL REFERENCE UNIT (ADIRU) IAW AWA T/C R2A34304, OPERATIONAL CHECK WAS GOOD. VENDOR EVALUATION TEST OF ADIRU S/N 2891 WAS NFF, TEST CONDUCTED IAW CMM TP1011, REV 22.
FLIGHT CREW REPORTED THE AFT RT FLIGHT ATTENDANT EMERGENCY FLASHLIGHT HAS A LOW BATTERY. MAINTENANCE REMOVED AND REPLACED THE AFT RT EMERGENCY FLASHLIGHT BATTERY, OPERATIONAL CHECK WAS GOOD.
FLIGHT CREW REPORTED THE LT FORWARD GALLEY HAND HELD EMERGENCY FLASHLIGHT WAS INOPERATIVE. MAINTENANCE REMOVED AND REPLACED THE LT FORWARD GALLEY EMERGENCY FLASHLIGHT BATTERY, OPERATIONAL CHECK WAS GOOD.
WHILE TAXING TO GATE, ARRIVING, BRAKES WERE GRABBING AND RELEASING ALMOST UNCONTROLLABLY. MAINTENANCE PERFORMED A BITE CHECK ON BRAKE STEERING CONTROL UNIT (BSCU) 1 AND 2 AND FOUND NO FAULTS. RESET BSCU 1 AND 2 IAW AMM 32-42-00-810-912. BRAKING FUNCTIONS NORMAL DURING MAINTENANCE TAXI. NO GRABBING FELT IN A/C OR RUDDER PEDALS. SUBSEQUENT TROUBLESHOOTING REVEALED THAT ALL 4 BRAKES WERE BLED OF AIR IAW TROUBLE SHOOTING MANUAL AMM 32-42-00-810-912.
MCN - EMERGENCY ESCAPE SYSTEM - DURING B-02 CHECK THE L/H OVER WING EMERGENCY ESCAPE EXIT RELEASE CABLE FAILED TEST. MAINTENANCE ADJUSTED FLEXIBLE CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY IAW AMM 25-62-43-420-050, STEP A(9) B, AND STEP 11; TEST WAS GOOD IAW AWA T/C F1C52303.
DURING INSPECTION THE RT OVERWING EMERGENCY EXIT LIGHT WAS FOUND INOPERATIVE. MAINTENANCE REMOVED AND REPLACED THE EMERGENCY POWER SUPPLY UNIT (12WL) AND BATTERY PACK AT RT OVERWING DOOR IAW AMM 33-51-38-000-001, OPERATIONAL CHECK WAS GOOD.
SAN - EEL - C - DURING INSPECTION RT OVERWING EMERGENCY EXIT LIGHT SIGN WAS FOUND TO BE INOPERATIVE. MAINTENANCE REMOVED AND REPLACED THE BATTERY PACK AT RT OVERWING EMERGENCY EXIT LIGHT, OPERATIONAL CHECK WAS GOOD.
LAX - EEL - C - EMERGENCY LIGHTS AT OVERWING EXITS INOP 11WL AND 12WL. MAINTENANCE REMOVED AND REPLACED BATTERIES AT POWER SUPPLIES 11WL AND 12WL IAW T/C R1C3301.
PHX - ABORTED TAKEOFF - FLT 231 -C- ON TAKEOFF ROLL AT 90 KTS FLIGHT CREW OBSERVED ECAM MESSAGE ALT LAW AND NO AIRSPEED INDICATION ON PFD NR 2 AND THE TAKEOFF WAS REJECTED. MAINTENANCE TROUBLESHOT AND REPLACED THE NR 2 ADIRU. AFTER ALIGNING THE ADIRU BITE CHECKS WERE GOOD. MAINTENANCE ALSO RAN THE NR 2 PITOT SYSTEM TO 150 KTS WITH TEST SET AND NR 2 AIRSPEED INDICATIONS WERE NORMAL. AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE. TEAR-DOWN REPORT INDICATES A THERMAL CALIBRATION PERFORMED AND TESTED. NO OTHER DEFECTS NOTED ON THIS UNIT.
