FLT 8832 - LAN-MDW - RIGHT ENGINE FAILED IN FLIGHT WITH OIL CONTAMINATION LIGHT. AIRCRAFT LANDED IN SBN WITHOUT INCIDENT. RIGHT ENGINE REMOVED AND SENT TO OVERHAUL FACILITY WHERE A COMPLETE TEARDOWN AND INSPECTION WILL BE PERFORMED WITH FAA PRESENT. (M)
PILOT REPORTED 'YOKE OR AILERON CABLES BINDING WHEN ROLLING OUT OF A TURN TO THE RIGHT'. INSPECTED THE AILERON CONTROL SYSTEM INCLUDING CABLE ROUTING AND TENSION, PULLEYS, TURNBUCKLES, AND CONTROL RODS WITH NO FINDINGS. FOUND COPILOT'S CONTROL COLUMN REAR SUPPORT BEARING CLEARANCES EXCESSIVE. INSPECTED CONTROL COLUMN AND BEARING ASSEMBLIES FOR PROPER INSTALLATION AND ADJUSTMENT. ADJUSTED ECCENTRIC BOLT (LOWER AFT BEARING) IAW BAE MM. AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO SERVICE. ACFT TT: 19,122.2 HRS. ACFT TC: 24,881. REF: OPER CNTRL NR 082297832.
FLYING STRAIGHT AND LEVEL IN VMC CONDITIONS AIR SPEED INDICATING JUST UNDER 160, THE STALL SHAKER INITIATED, MAX POWER WAS APPLIED FOLLOWED BY PITCHING ACFT ATTITUDE TO INCREASE A/S WITH NO EFFECT. RED 'STALL' (RT) GLARESHIELD LIGHT ILLUMINATED. CONDITION PERSISTED THROUGH 180 KIAS DURING DESCENT. RED 'STALL' LIGHT WAS PRESSED FOLLOWED BY TURNING OFF THE STALL SYSTEM.
FLT 385 - GRR-MDW - WHILE TAXIING FROM THE RAMP TO THE RUNWAY, DURING THE FLT CONTROL FREEDOM OF MOVEMENT CHECKS, THE RUDDER JAMMED IN THE FULL RIGHT POSITION. AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO THE GATE. INSPECTION FOUND ONE OF THE TWO RUDDER FEEL SPRING STRUTS JAMMED IN THE EXTENDED POSITION WHICH WOULD NOT ALLOW THE RUDDER TO MOVE. BOTH SPRING STRUTS WERE REPLACED WITH SERVICEABLE UNITS AND A VISUAL AND OPERATIONAL CHECK OF THE RUDDER CONTROL SYSTEM WAS PERFORMED WITH NO FURTHER DISCREPANCIES. AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.
MIDWAY - FLT 168 - DEPARTED, MAIN HYDRAULIC SYSTEM PRESSURE FLUCTUATED AND THEN LOST PRESSURE. PILOT RETURNED TO MIDWAY. USED EMERGENCY LANDING GEAR HAND PUMP TO LOWER GEAR. LANDING WAS UNEVENTFUL. MECHANIC FOUND HYDRAULIC SYSTEM RELEASE VALVE LEAKING EXTERNALLY. REPLACED VALVE, LEAK CHECK SATISFACTORY, AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO SERVICE.
