WE LOST THE CAPTAIN AND FOâS ALTITIMER, ALTITUDE SELECT AT NIGHT IN MOUNTAINOUS TERRAIN. PURGED PILOT AND COPILOT STATIC SYSTEM, FOUND PILOT SIDE FITTING ON THE MOISTURE DRAIN VALVE LOOSE.
DURING LANDING DROPPED THE LANDING GEAR AND RECEIVED A RED UNLOCK GEAR LIGHT ASSOCIATED WITH A GREEN LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR LIGHT THAT DID NOT ILLUMINATE.///////R&R LH MLG ACTUATOR.
ENGAGING THE AUTOPILOT CAUSED AN UN-COMMANDED AND ERRATIC NOSE UP PITCH MOVEMENT. THE AUTOPILOT WAS DISCONNECTED AND AIRCRAFT RESPONDED TO HAND TRIMMING TO STABILIZE. THE INITIAL TAKEOFF HAD A STARK NOSE UP PITCH, WHICH WE TRIMMED OUT BY HAND. THEN APPROACHING OUR INITIAL LEVEL OFF ALTITUDE, WE ENGAGED THE AUTOPILOT. THE AIRCRAFT IMMEDIATELY AND RAPIDLY BEGAN TO PITCH UP AGAIN, LEADING TO US DECIDING TO TAKE IT BACK TO BUR DUE TO CONCERN OF THE TRIM OF THE PLANE.
AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO FIELD DUE TO LEFT DUCT LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE SYSTEM WAS TROUBLESHOT AND THE DC CONTROL UNIT WAS DETERMINED TO HAVE FAILED. THE UNIT WAS REPLACED AND A FUNCTIONAL CHECK PERFORMED WITH ALL INDICATIONS NORMAL. (M)
FLT NR 4182 - CREW REPORTED, STRIKING A BIRD, RIGHT SIDE OF AIRCRAFT WHILE ON APPROACH TO RIC. AIRCRAFT LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. OUT STATION MAINTENANCE INSPECTED AIRCRAFT IAW MM 05-00-00. NO DEFECTS NOTED. AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO SERVICE. (M)
FLT NR 4097 - DURING CLIMB-OUT, CREW NOTICED AN UNUSUAL ODOR FROM BLEED AIR SYSTEM ASSOCIATED WITH A SLIGHT RISE IN EGT RIGHT ENGINE. POST FLIGHT CHECK, CREW FOUND BLOOD ON RIGHT NACELLE AND FUSELAGE RIGHT ENGINE. MAINTENANCE REMOVED AND REPLACED RIGHT ENGINE IAW MM 71-00-00. OPS CHECKED GOOD. AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO SERVICE. (M)
FLT 4196 - SHORTLY AFTER TAKEOFF, THE CAPTAIN NOTICED HIS AIRSPEED INDICATOR WAS NOT OPERATING PROPERLY, HE ELECTED TO ABORT TAKEOFF AND RETURN TO THE GATE. PIT MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL INSPECTED ACFT, CONDUCTED PITOT/STATIC AIRSPEED CHECK, COULD NOT DUPLICATE DISCREPANCY. ACFT RETURNED TO SERVICE WITH NO FURTHER INCIDENT.
