WHILE INSPECTING ACFT IAW SEB 93-5 R1, THE ACFT WAS NOTED AS HAVING CRACKS ON BOTH LT & RT BULKHEAD AT FS 27 AT THE LOWER LIFT STRUT ATTACH FITTING. IN ORDER TO REMEDY THIS CONDITION, SUPPLIED SERVICE KIT SK207-19 WAS INSTALLED AS A PERMANENT REPAIR.
DURING FLIGHT PILOT SMELLED A BURNING PLASTIC SMELL IN CABIN. PILOT TURNED OFF ELEC SYS & SMELL WENT AWAY. UPON TURNING ELEC BACK ON, AMMETER SHOWED DISCHARGE & ALTERNATOR WOULD NOT COME BACK ONLINE. INSPECTED WIRING HARNESS & REPLACED RING TERMINALS ON ALTERNATOR POSITIVE WIRE & SENSOR WIRE FOR VOLTAGE REGULATOR. REPLACED ALTERNATOR. GND RUN UP CHECK REVEALED NO ABNORMALITIES.
PILOT REPORTED A BURNING ELEC SMELL DURING TAKEOFF. INSPECTED COCKPIT ELEC HARNESS & SECURED STALL WARNING HORN INSULATORS & TERMINALS.
PILOT REPORTS THAT THE STARTER WAS SLIPPING. THE STARTER DRIVE ADAPTER SPRING WAS BROKEN & HAD DAMAGED THE CRANKSHAFT GEAR RETAINING BOLTS & SAFETY WIRE. THE SAFETY WIRE WAS BROKEN & OIL SYS CONTAMINATION WAS POSSIBLE DUE TO THIS. THE ENG WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED DUE TO THE OIL CONTAMINATION CAUSED BY THE STARTER DRIVE ADAPTER FAILURE. ADDITIONAL PHOTOS RELATED TO THIS INCIDENT WILL BE SENT WITH REFERENCE TO THIS SDR
AFTER LANDING PILOT SMELLED FUEL IN COCKPIT. PERFORMED AN INSPECTION OF THE ACFT FUEL SYS FOR LEAKS. NO LEAKS OR SIGNS OF LEAKAGE WERE NOTED DURING THE INSPECTION.
