PILOTS REPORT UPON PLACING LANDING GEAR HANDLE IN DOWN POSITION ON APPROACH, GEAR AND WARNING LIGHTS TWO CIRCUIT BREAKERS TRIPPED AND ALL GEAR INDICATION AND FUNCTION WAS LOST. EMERGENCY GEAR SYSTEM WAS DEPLOYED. ACFT LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. TRACED WIRING AND FOUND PINS A AND D SHORTED TOGETHER ON CONNECTOR JW9 AT LT MAIN GEAR UP-LOCK SWITCH. REPAIRED CONNECTOR IAW WIRING MANUAL 20-10-04. INSTALLED NEW CONNECTOR PINS.

WHILE TAXING INTO RAMP AREA, FOLLOWING AN UNSCHEDULED ENGINE CHANGE RUN-UP. THE AUXILIARY HYDRAULIC PUMP WAS ACTIVATED TO SET THE PARKING BRAKE. THIS PRESSURIZED THE BACKUP PRESSURE SUPPLY TO THE RT ROLL SPOILER. A CLOUD OF HYDRAULIC FLUID WAS OBSERVED BY THE RT WING ROLL SPOILER. HYDRAULIC LEAK WAS HYDRAULIC LINE CHAFED BY AILERON CONTROL CABLE CAUSING A PIN HOLE IN LINE. CONTROL CABLE HAD NO DAMAGE. LINE REPLACED WITH NEW SECTION OF LINE SPLICED IN BY MFG PERSONNEL USING PERMASWAGE TOOLING. AREA IS DIFFICULT TO INSPECT FOR CHAFING DUE TO LOCATION. INSPECTED LT WING LINE FOR CHAFING AND NONE WAS FOUND.

AFTER DEPARTURE DURING CLIMBOUT, THE RIGHT ENGINE CHIP DETECTOR LIGHT ILLUMINATED. AIRCRAFT FLIGHT MANUAL INDICATES TO SHUT DOWN ENGINE (WHEN PRACTICAL) AND LAND AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. THE FLIGHT CREW SHUT DOWN THE ENGINE AND RETURNED TO THE POINT OF DEPARTURE WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. INSPECTION OF ENGINE OIL FILTER AND CHIP DETECTOR REVEALED A SLIVER OF METALLIC PARTICLE TO BE PRESENT ON THE CHIP DETECTOR. OBTAINED SOAP SAMPLE, INSTALLED NEW FILTER AND PERFORMED ENGINE PENALTY RUN IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE ENGINE MAINTENANCE MANUAL. APPROVED AIRCRAFT FOR RETURN TO SERVICE. AIRCRAFT CONTINUED WITH INTENDED FLIGHT WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT.
