WHILE TROUBLESHOOTING NR 1 ENGINE FOR SLOW START, FOUND P3 LINE AT FILTER HOUSING CRACKED. REPLACED P3 LINE ASSEMBLY WITH NEW. LINE WAS CRACKED ON BACK SIDE, FLUSH THE P3 HOUSING.
DURING MAINTENANCE CHECKS, WHITE M/R BLADE TRUNNION BEARING GREASE WAS FOUND TO BE DARKER THAN RED BLADE. GRAY/RED IN COLOR. REMOVED AND REPLACED M/R TRUNNION BEARINGS WITH NEW BEARINGS. WHILE BLADE BEARING SHOWS SIGNS OF ADVANCED BRINNELLING. SUBMITTER STATED THIS IS THE SECOND OCCURRENCE THIS YEAR ON FLEET, PLUS ONE OTHER FROM ANOTHER OPERATOR. REF: OPER CNTRL NR 20001019SH031. (X)
IN CRUISE FLIGHT AT 11,500 FEET, ALL NR 1 ENGINE OIL PRESSURE DROPPED FOLLOWED BY A SPLIT IN TORQUE. OIL PRESSURE LIGHT AND NR 2 CHIP LIGHT. PILOT SHUT NR 1 ENGINE DOWN AND LANDED AT NEAREST AIRPORT (5 MINUTES). UPON REMOVAL OF NR 1 POWER SECTION, FOUND POWER TURBINE FAILURE. P.T. BLADE SEPARATION. P.T. FAILURE WAS CONTAINED AND NO DAMAGE TO AIRCRAFT. SUBMITTER STATED SULPHIDATION IS SUSPECT IN THE FAILURE OF THE TURBINE BLADE. ENGINE TSO: 3,335.4 HOURS. TT ON TURBINE BLADES UNKNOWN.
