DURING A SCHEDULED INSPECTION IT WAS FOUND THAT THE NR 2 ENGINE CYLINDER HAD LOW COMPRESSION. INVESTIGATION FOUND THAT THE EXHAUST VALVE FACE AND EXHAUST SEAT INTERFACE SHOWED EXCESSIVE WEAR CAUSING THE EXHAUST VALVE FACE TO CUP.
