AFTER LANDING & NORMAL BRAKING, DURING LANDING BOTH BRAKES EXHIBITED SIGNIFICANT SHUDDER DURING STOP ATTEMPTS. AIRPLANE HAD TROUBLE STOPPING DUE TO THE BRAKE CHATTER. BRAKE TEMP AROUND 201 DEG. THIS WAS MORE THAN THE NORMAL BRAKE CHATTER. IT WAS VERY VIOLENT & THE AIRPLANE WAS DIFFICULT TO STOP. FOUND THE NR 1, 2 & 4 WHEELS TORQUE LOW. TORQUED ALL MAIN WHEEL.

CONTROL OF THE CABIN WAS REGAINED AT FL100 AND THE CABIN DESCENT RATE REMAINED NORMAL UNTIL TOUCHDOWN. DURING SCHEDULED MX CHECK, TAIL CONE RELEASE TEE PIN CABLE GUIDE BLOCK WAS FOUND TO BE CORRODED ON THE LT SIDE OF THE TAIL ACCESSORY COMPARTMENT. THE CORROSION WAS REMOVED FROM THE GUIDE BLOCK AND IT WAS TREATED AND REINSTALLED IAW AMM 53-53. THE REQUIRED INSPECTION WAS ALSO COMPLETED.
DURING SCHEDULED CHECK, THE TAIL CONE TEE PIN CABLE WAS NOTED TO BE RUSTY AT BOTH ENDS OF THE LT TAIL ACCESSORY COMPARTMENT. THE RUST WAS REMOVED AND THE CABLE WAS TREATED IAW WC 5350-01077-0101 AND THE REQUIRED INSPECTION WAS COMPLETED.
DURING SCHEDULED MX CHECK, THE TAIL CONE UPPER LATCH LEVER CABLE AT THE 11:00 POSITION WAS FOUND TO BE FRAYED. THE CABLE WAS REPLACED IAW AMM 53-53-00 AND THE REQUIRED INSPECTION WAS COMPLETED.

DURING CLIMBOUT, THE AIRCRAFT ENCOUNTERED A BIRD STRIKE TO THE RT SIDE OF THE A/C. THEN FOLLOWED A STRONG BURNING SMELL IN THE COCKPIT AND THE CABIN. CREW SUSPECTED A BIRD INJESTION INTO THE RT ENGINE. CONTRACT MTC COMPLETED BIRD STRIKE INSPECTION IAW MD88 MTC MANUAL 05-51-08, NO DAMAGE WAS FOUND. BIRD REMAINS WERE REMOVED FROM THE AIRCRAFT.

FOUND GENERATOR FEEDER CABLES SHORTED TO LEFT HYDRAULIC PRESSURE LINE FROM PUMP TO FILTER MODULE. THE CHAFING OCCURED JUST ABOVE THE FILTER MODULE. REPLACED HYD LINE, FILTER AND PUMP. REPAIRED BURNED A, B, C FEEDER CABLES FROM R5-2 TO S3-280, OPERATION NORMAL.
