Probable cause
THE POWER LOSS DUE TO CARBURETOR ICE, WHICH RESULTED FROM THE PILOT'S FAILURE TO ENGAGE CARBURETOR HEAT IN A TIMELY MANNER. A FACTOR IN THIS ACCIDENT WAS THE PILOT'S LACK OF TOTAL EXPERIENCE.
