Maintenance disclosure history
Service Difficulty Reports are self-reported maintenance findings. The NUMBER of reports is not a measure of reliability — diligent operators file more, not fewer. These are shown for transparency, not as a negative signal. To verify a report, search its control number at the FAA SDRS site.
Reports span 2008–2012. Most-reported systems: Air conditioning & press. (21) — 1; Fire protection (26) — 1; Pneumatic (36) — 1. Most-common natures of condition, as filed: WARNING INDICATION — 2; FALSE WARNING — 1.
3 reports on file.
Part: FIRE WARNING — FALSE ACTIVATION (COCKPIT) · airframe 2,336 hrs · 1,597 cycles
ABOUT 10 MINUTES AFTER TAKEOFF THE RIGHT ENGINE FIRE MESSAGE APPEARED AND THE CREW RETURNED THE RIGHT THROTTLE TO FLIGHT IDLE AND WITHIN 10 TO 12 SECONDS THE LIGHT EXTINGUISHED. RETURNED TO DEPARTURE AIRPORT WHICH WAS HOME BASE AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS INSPECTED FOR EVIDENCE OF FIRE AND ANY OTHER DAMAGE. NONE WAS NOTED AT THIS TIME.
Part: SEAL — BYPASSING (ZONE 400) · airframe 2,335 hrs · 1,596 cycles
ON TAKEOFF, THE ACFT GOT A RT BLEED OVER HEAT CAS MESSAGE AND IT WAS FOLLOWED BY A RT ENGINE FIRE MASTER CAUTION. THE FLIGHT CREW RETURNED THE RT THROTTLE TO FLIGHT IDLE AND WITHIN A FEW SECONDS BOTH MESSAGES CLEARED AND THE FLIGHT WAS RESUMED WITHOUT ANY FURTHER ISSUES. WHEN THE ACFT ARRIVED AT HOME BASE, FOUND THE RT FIREWALL BOOT AT THE HP BLEED WERE IT PASSES THROUGH THE SERVICE ISLAND HAD AIR BYPASSING. THERE WAS NO DISCOLORATION OR DISTORTION TO ANY DUCTING OR ACFT STRUCTURE NOTED UPON VISUAL INSPECTION.
Part: CONTROLLER — FAILED (CABIN PRESSURE)
AIRCRAFT WAS AT CRUISE PHASE OF FLIGHT AT FL450 ON 5/10/2008 AT 1840 HOURS WHEN THE PLANE EXPERIENCED A GRADUAL DEPRESSURIZATION AND HAD TO MAKE AN EMERGENCY DECENT AND UNSCHEDULED LANDING. THE AIRCRAFT WAS MOVED TO SERVICE CENTER FOR COMPREHENSIVE TESTING OF THE PRESSURIZATION SYSTEM TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. AT THIS TIME SB 45-21-13 IS BEING INCORPORATED TO REPLACE THE CABIN PRESSURE CONTROLLER. AFTER ALL WORK WAS PERFORMED THE CONSENSUS IS THAT THE CABIN PRESSURE CONTROLLER WAS THE ROOT CAUSE OF FAILURE. (K)
