RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR FAILED TO EXTEND. PERFORMED EMERGENCY GEAR EXTENSION, RECEIVED THREE GREEN LIGHTS, AND LANDED. FOUND BOLT AN4-11A MISSING AT RT ACTUATOR.
LANDING GEAR FAILED TO RETRACT. FOUND CONTROL VALVE HAD FAILED.
DURING THE FIRST ONE HUNDRED HOUR INSPECTION OF THIS AIRCRAFT THE AFT TURNBUCKLE FOR THE RUDDER SYSTEM, AS VIEWED THROUGH ACCESS DOOR 311, HAD FIVE THREADS EXPOSED ON LOWER END AND FOUR THREADS EXPOSED ON UPPER END. BOTH ENDS WERE SAFETIED WITH CLIPS. CLOSE INSPECTION ON ALL TURNBUCKLES BOTH FOR EXPOSED THREADS AND PROPER SAFETIES DURING FIRST 100 HOUR INSPECTION.
TEMPERATURE INDICATING UNIT INOPERATIVE. REPLACED WITH NEW UNIT, CORRECTED PROBLEM.
CANNOT ADJUST COMPENSATING RESISTOR. REPLACED WITH NEW UNIT, CORRECTED PROBLEM.
ERRATIC TEMP INDICATIONS AT HIGH POWER SETTINGS. WORKS FINE UPON INITIAL START-UP. REPLACED WTH NEW UNIT(S) CORRECTED PROBLEM.
SPINNER CRACKED BEYOND SERVICEABLE LIMITS. REPLACED WITH NEW UNIT, CORRECTED PROBLEM.
NR 5 BEARING FAILED AT THE BALLS RETAINER. CHIP LIGHT CAME ON IN-FLIGHT. NO CAUSE AT THE TIME. THIS PART IS A P.M.A. F.A.A. APPROVED.
AIRCRAFT LEVEL FLIGHT 17,000 FEET NORMAL TORQUE FOR BOTH ENGINES. TEMPS NORMAL, FUEL FLOW NORMAL. LEFT ENGINE WENT TO ZERO TORQUE, FLUCTUATED SOME. EGT REMAINED BELOW RED LINE, FUEL FLOW WAS STILL NORMAL. OIL PRESSURE NORMAL. PILOT USED EMERGENCY CUT-OFF, FEATHERED PROP. ENGINE CAME TO A QUICKER THAN NORMAL STOP. AIRCRAFT LANDED AT SLC WITH NO PROBLEM. EXTREME HOT SECTION DAMAGE FROM EXTERNAL VIEW. NOT DISASSEMBLED AT THIS TIME.
