AFTER TAKEOFF FROM KPDK, A PUFF OF SMOKE CAME FROM THE CENTER AREA OF THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE CREW CIRCLED BACK AROUND AND LANDED KPDK. MAINTENANCE IS STILL IN PROGRESS, THEY FOUND A SLIGHT OIL LEAK ON THE #2 ENGINE. TECHS BOROSCOPED THE ENGINE AND SUSPECT THE #2 ENGINE, THE #1 AND #2 CARBON SEAL SCUPPER. MAINTENANCE IS IN PROGRESS AS OF 1-23-2025.
CORROSION WAS FOUND UNDER THE AIRCRAFT DATA PLATE. CORROSION WAS REMOVED AND BLENDED. NDT FOUND SKIN AT .021IN. INSTALLED DOUBLER OF .040IN AND REINSTALLED DATA PLATE. WORK WAS PERFORMED BY TECHNICAIR GRAND RAPIDS MI ON THEIR WORK ORDER S66-24-66992.
CREW REPORTED AN ACRID SMELL IN CABIN SHORTLY AFTER TAKEOFF, CREW DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND DIVERTED AIRCRAFT TO KIND, MAINT RESPONDED TO AIRCRAFT AND FOUND THE SMELL WAS A RESULT OF THE ENGINES HAVING A INTERNAL CORROSION TREATMENT THAT GOT INTO THE BLEED AIR SYSTEM, PERFORMED GROUND ENGINE RUNS TO REMOVE RESIDUAL CORROSION TREATMENT FROM BLEED AIR SYSTEM
FLIGHT CREW REPORTED THAT THE PITCH TRIM WAS BINDING AND COULD NOT MOVE THE TRIM OUT OF THE NOSE UP CONFIGURATION, CREW DECLARED EMERGENCY AND LANDED AIRCRAFT AT KIND WITH NO DAMAGE/INJURY TO AIRCRAFT OR PERSONS. UPON INSPECTION OF TRIM SYSTEM FOUND PITCH TRIM INDICATOR HAD SLIPPED OUT OF POSITION GIVING CREW AN IMPROPER INDICATION. RETURNED INDICATOR TO CORRECT POSITION AND PERFORMED A PITCH TRIM TRAVEL CHECK CONFIRMING CORRECT INDICATION AND TRAVEL.
DURING CLIMB OUT CREW NOTICES AN OIL SMELL AND HAZE IN COCKPIT AND CABIN. CREW DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND LANDED AT KOKK. DISPATCHED MAINTENANCE TO THE AIRCRAFT, COULD NOT DUPLICATE DISCREPANCY ON THE GROUND. RETURNED AIRCRAFT TO KEYE FOR FURTHER TROUBLESHOOTING OF DISCREPANCY.
WHILE ENROUTE, PASSING THROUGH 13,000 FT, THE FLIGHT CREW REPORTED DETECTING AN ELECTRICAL SMOKE ODOR IN THE COCKPIT. THE CREW SELECTED BLEED AIR OFF AND NOTICED MINOR SMOKE COMING FROM THE NR 2 COMM CONTROL HEAD. AN EMERGENCY WAS DECLARED AND THE ACFT RETURNED TO DEPARTURE AND LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. THE NR 2 COMM CONTROL HEAD WAS REPLACED, A GROUND RUN AND FLIGHT CHECK WAS PERFORMED WITH ALL INDICATIONS NORMAL. THE ACFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE. (K)
