Maintenance disclosure history

Service Difficulty Reports are self-reported maintenance findings. The NUMBER of reports is not a measure of reliability — diligent operators file more, not fewer. These are shown for transparency, not as a negative signal. To verify a report, search its control number at the FAA SDRS site.

Reports span 1995–2019. Most-reported systems: ATA 85 — 5; Engine fuel & control (73) — 1; ATA 81 — 1. Most-common natures of condition, as filed: OTHER — 2; ENGINE STOPPAGE — 1; FLUID LOSS — 1; PARTIAL RPM/PWR LOSS — 1; WARNING INDICATION — 1 (top 5 of 6 conditions, covering 6 of 7 coded reports).

7 reports on file.

Part: ENGINE — MALFUNCTIONED

ENGINE DEVELOPED LOW OIL PRESSURE IN FLIGHT APPROX 20 PSI. REMOVED AND CLEANED OIL PRESSURE RELIEF PLUNGER. FOUND CARBON BITS IN OIL FROM CAVITY. ABOUT 20 HOURS LATER THE LOW OIL PRESSURE RETURNED. REMOVED OIL PRESSURE RELIEF PLUNGER. MORE CARBON BITS FOUND IN OIL FROM THE CAVITY. CLEANED CAVITY AND INSTALLED NEW PLUNGER, SPRINGER AND SEAT. OIL AND FILTER CHANGED. 1.1 HOURS LATER LOW OIL PRESSURE. THIS TIME THE NEW PLUNGER IS BADLY PITTED FROM DEBRIS AND FLAKES OF METAL ARE FOUND IN THE OIL FROM THE CAVITY. ENGINE REMOVED FROM SERVICE UNTIL THE SOURCE OF THE MATERIAL CAN BE DETERMINED. SENT OIL PUMP TO CONTINENETAL FOR EVALUATION. THE ENGINE HAS BEEN IN SERVICE SINCE 05/2018.
