Maintenance disclosure history
Service Difficulty Reports are self-reported maintenance findings. The NUMBER of reports is not a measure of reliability — diligent operators file more, not fewer. These are shown for transparency, not as a negative signal. To verify a report, search its control number at the FAA SDRS site.
Reports span 1995–2005. Most-reported systems: Fuselage (53) — 1; Ignition (74) — 1. Most-common natures of condition, as filed: OTHER — 1; PARTIAL RPM/PWR LOSS — 1.
2 reports on file.
Part: MAGNETO — INTERMITTENT (ENGINE)
MAGNETO FAILED DURING FLIGHT. UPON INSPECTION IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE CONDENSER FAILED TO TAKE A CHARGE. THE SWIVEL TERMINAL ON THE CONTACT POINT SIDE OF THE CONDENSER WAS ROTATED AND THEN THE CONDENSER WAS ABLE TO TAKE A CHARGE. SUSPECT CORROSION AT SWIVEL, RESULTING IN AN OPEN IN THE CONDENSER. REPLACEMENT OF CONDENSER WITH CURRENT PRODUCTION CONDENSER AT NEXT OPPORTUNITY. (NM13200502744) (K)
Part: BULKHEAD — CRACKED (FS 230.187)
CRACK IN THE RT RUDDER CABLE CUT-OUT HOLE AT THE RT UPPER OUTBOARD RADIUS. ALSO, CRACK FROM RT RUDDER STOP BOLT HOLE UPWARD TO BULKHEAD BEND RADIUS, THEN ALONG BEND RADIUS FOR .3750 INCH. SUSPECT CAUSED BY RUDDER SLAMMING AGAINST STOPS IN GUSTY WIND. SUBMITTER RECOMMENDS USE OF RUDDER LOCKS AND/OR SECURING AIRCRAFT IN DIRECTION TO MINIMIZE MOVEMENT IN GUSTY CONDITIONS.
