PILOT WINDSCREEN CRACKED AT FL360. LOUD POP WAS HEARD, NO PRESSURIZATION FLUCTUATIONS, AIRCRAFT LANDED UNEVENTFULLY.
ON 2/7 N510SJ HAD THE #2 ENGINE SHUT DOWN ON APPROACH INTO GYR WHEN THEY BROUGHT THE POWER LEVERS BACK TO FLIGHT IDLE. THEY DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND DIVERTED INTO PHX AND LANDED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT.
CLIMBING THROUGH 17K THE CREW NOTICES A BURNING SMELL IN THE COCKPIT, THEY GOT A PITCH FEEL ANNUNCIATOR AND THE SLATS DEPLOYED. THEY DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND RETURNED TO KARR. AFTER INSPECTION PCB 401J WAS FOUND BURN, THIS CAUSED THE BURNING SMELL AND ALSO CONTROLS THE SLATS AND THE PITCH FEEL.
LANDING GEAR WOULD NOT EXTEND WHEN SELECTED. LANDING GEAR WAS MANUALLY EXTENDED TO FULL DOWN POSITION WITH 3 GREEN INDICATIONS. ON RETURN TO MX FACILITY, ACFT WAS PLACED ON JACKS AND LANDING GEAR FUNCTIONED NORMALLY. THIS PROBLEM OCCURRED APPROX 10 MONTH PREVIOUSLY. THE GEAR SELECTOR SWITCH WAS INSPECTED UPON REMOVAL AND SOME BURNING OR ARCING WAS EVIDENT ON THE SWITCH CONTACTS. IN ADDITION TO THE SELECTOR SWITCH BEING REPLACED THE CIRCUIT BREAKER, LANDING GEAR MOTOR AND MAIN GEAR DOWN SWITCH WERE ALSO REPLACED AS A PRECAUTION.
APPROX 45 MINUTES INTO FLIGHT AT FLT LEVEL 170 WHILE IN CRUISE FLIGHT CONDITIONS. RT ENGINE MADE AN UNUSUAL NOISE, FLAMES WERE SEEN FROM THE EXHAUST DUCTS. CREW INITIATED ENGINE SHUT DOWN PROCEDURES. CREW CONTACTED APPROACH CONTROL DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND REQUESTED LANDING AT CLOSED AIRPORT. ACFT MADE UNEVENTFUL SINGLE ENGINE LANDING. THE FAILURE APPEARS TO BE CONTAINED IN THE POWER SECTION OF THE ENGINE. IT IS UNKNOWN AT THIS TIME WHICH COMPONENT MAY HAVE FAILED.
(REF NR N716SX-07-1) FL 300, CREW NOTED DECREASE IN LT ENGINE OIL PRESSURE. ENGINE WAS SHUTDOWN IAW EMERGENCY PROCEDURES. AIRCRAFT CONTINUED TO SERVICE FACILITY. MAINTENANCE DETERMINED THAT OIL FILLER CAP WAS LEAKING AT HIGH POWER SETTINGS DUE TO DAMAGED OR DEFECTIVE O-RING. IAW MM, NO ADDITIONAL INSPECTION WERE REQUIRED. O-RING WAS REPLACED AND FILLER CAP WAS ADJUSTED IAW MM. ENGINE SERVICED WITH OIL AND RETURNED TO SERVICE. (K)
APPROACH TO LANDING, WOULD NOT EXTEND, ELECTRICALLY. MANUAL EXTENSIONS PROCEDURES WERE FOLLOWED AND OPERATED NORMALLY. PILOT EXTENDED LANDING GEAR USING MANUAL EXTENSION PROCEDURES, 3 GREEN DOWN AND LOCKED INDICATIONS, AN UNEVENTFUL LANDING WAS COMPLETED. AC RETURNED ON A FERRY FLIGHT. TROUBLESHOOTING IS ON GOING, PROBLEM COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. (K)
CYLINDER FAILED, RESULTING IN NO BRAKING ON RIGHT SIDE OF AIRCRAFT. PILOT FAILED TO MAINTAIN CONTROL OF AIRCRAFT, AIRCRAFT WENT BEYOND PAVED AREA OFF TAXI WAY ON TO GRASS AREA. NO DAMAGE WAS DONE TO THE AIRCRAFT. WHEN PILOT REALIZED THAT BRAKES WERE NOT WORKING, BOTH ENGINES WERE SHUTDOWN AND AIRCRAFT WAS TOWED TO MAINTENANCE. (M)
FLUORESCENT LAMP 22 INCHES LONG, MODEL F00100 HAS EVIDENCE OF SEVERE OVERHEATING (CHARRING) AT ONE END OF LAMP. LAMP USED IN GALLEY/CABIN LIGHTING SYSTEM.
SECOND RADIO SWITCH FROM LEFT STARTED SMOKING. NOW INOPERATIVE AND SPONGY FIRST SWITCH. REMOVED AND REPLACED CIRCUIT BREAKER SWITCHES WITH 2 RELAYS AND 2 SWITCHES IAW 337 DATED 8-3-00. (X)
AFTER TAKEOFF, THE LANDING GEAR WOULD NOT COME UP. REPLACED LANDING GEARA BREAKER, P/N S1235-515. OPS CHECK GOOD.
SMOKE CAME OUT AROUND GEAR HANDLE ON TAKEOFF. FOUND RIGHT PITOT HEAT WIRE BURNED DUE TO BAD CONNECTION.
