Maintenance disclosure history

Service Difficulty Reports are self-reported maintenance findings. The NUMBER of reports is not a measure of reliability — diligent operators file more, not fewer. These are shown for transparency, not as a negative signal. To verify a report, search its control number at the FAA SDRS site.

Reports span 2008–2025. Most-reported systems: Engine (72) — 2; Air conditioning & press. (21) — 1; Flight controls (27) — 1; Landing gear (32) — 1; Navigation (34) — 1 (top 5 of 7 systems, covering 6 of 8 coded reports). Most-common natures of condition, as filed: OTHER — 3; ENGINE STOPPAGE — 1; FLUID LOSS; SMOKE/FUMES/ODORS/SPARKS — 1; NO WARNING INDICATION — 1; PARTIAL RPM/PWR LOSS; SMOKE/FUMES/ODORS/SPARKS — 1 (top 5 of 6 conditions, covering 7 of 8 coded reports).

8 reports on file.

FLUID LOSS; SMOKE/FUMES/ODORS/SPARKS · 2025-08-21 Matched by certificate designator

Part: SEAL — LEAKING (APU OIL SYS) · airframe 8,459 hrs · 6,554 cycles

AIRCRAFT MADE A SCHEDULED DEPARTURE. DURING CLIMB OUT, SMOKE WAS NOTICED IN THE COCKPIT & CABIN BY BOTH THE FLIGHT CREW AND PASSENGERS. AIRCRAFT DECLARED AND EMERGENCY AND DIVERTED. AIRCRAFT LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. DURING INVESTIGATION AS TO THE CAUSE OF THE SMOKE, IT WAS DETERMINED THAT AN OIL SEAL IN THE APU HAD FAILED WHICH ALLOWED OIL INTO THE APU INTAKE CAUSING SMOKE IN THE CABIN.

Part: COMPRESSOR — STALLED (NR 2 ENGINE) · airframe 4,966 hrs · 3,335 cycles

ENGINE EXPERIENCED UN-COMMANDED ROLLBACK DUE TO COMPRESSOR STALL IN CRUISE FLIGHT DURING LIGHT TURBULENCE. THIS CAUSED SMOKE ODOR IN CABIN AND ITT EXCEEDANCE.

Part: PRINTED CKT BOARD — FAULTY (COCKPIT) · airframe 5,051 hrs · 4,052 cycles

FLIGHT CREW HAD NO LG DOWN INDICATION ON LG EXTENSION. TROUBLESHOOTING INDICATED NO OUTPUT FROM LG MONITORING PCB. PCB WAS REPLACED, LG FUNCTIONAL TEST WAS SATISFACTORY.

Part: ENGINE — FAILED (NR 1) · airframe 5,585 hrs · 3,295 cycles

ENGINE FAILED IN CRUISE FLIGHT AT FL400. A LOUD NOISE OCCURRED (SPECULATED TO BE COMPRESSOR STALL) IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWED BY A SHARP LEFT YAW. FLIGHT CREW REPORTS THAT THEY NOTED ZERO RPM ON N2 WITHIN SECONDS. THERE WAS NO PRIOR INDICATION OF ANY PROBLEM. ENGINE WAS SECURED AND AIRCRAFT DIVERTED TO A SINGLE ENGINE LANDING AT KDTW.

Part: TUBE — CHAFED (TAIL EQUIPMENT) · airframe 1,378 hrs · 988 cycles

DISCOVERED FAILED ECU ASPIRATOR HIGH PRESSURE TUBE, BROKEN ECU ASPIRATOR TO COASLESCER TUBE & CHAFED RUDDER BIAS BLEED AIR TUBE ON PREFLIGHT. THIS CONDITION APPEARS TO BE DUE TO POOR ROUTING AND ON GOING CHAFING BETWEEN THE ASPIRATOR AND RUDDER BIAS PLUMBING OVER AN UNKNOWN AMOUNT OF TIME.

Part: UNKNOWN — VIBRATION (WINGS) · airframe 4,510 hrs · 2,725 cycles

ACFT EXPERIENCED A WINGTIP VIBRATION OF APPROX 24" AMPLITUDE AND 3-PER-SECOND FREQUENCY AT BOTH WINGTIPS. THIS EVENT LASTED FOR A DURATION OF APPROX 15-20 SECONDS DURING DESCENT THROUGH FL330 AT MACH 0.78 AND RELATIVELY LIGHT ACFT LOAD. THIS EVENT WAS INDUCED BY PENETRATION OF LIGHT TURBULENCE. REDUCTION OF POWER AND DEPLOYMENT OF AIRBRAKES WITH ATTENDANT DECELERATION HALTED THE EVENT. THIS ACFT IS EQUIPPED WITH BLENDED WINGLETS (STC ST01411SE).
