FOUND SECTION OF NR 3 TIRE CAP WRAPPED AROUND BRAKE CAUSING THE FIRE AND TIRE DAMAGE TO THE FLAP AND A 10X6 INCH HOLE IN T/E WING PANEL. THE NR 3 AND NR 4 WHEELS AND BRAKE ASSEMBLY WERE REPLACED. AIRCRAFT IS STILL IN THE HANGAR FOR FURTHER REPAIR.

LATER DURING CRUISE, RECEIVED HYD Y RSVR LOW LVL MESSAGE AND PLACED THE YELLOW SYSTEM ELECTRIC PUMP OFF PER COM PROCEDURES. FLIGHT CONTINUED TO MSP AND LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. MAINTENANCE REPLACED THE NR 2 ENGINE DRIVEN HYDRAULIC PUMP, FILTERS AND FLUSHED SYSTEM AND OPERATIONAL CHECK OK.
EN ROUTE, POSSIBLE ICING CONDITIONS WERE REPORTED. THE NR 1 ENGINE ANTI-ICE VALVE WOULD NOT OPEN. FLIGHT CREW DIVERTED TO COS. MAINTENANCE REPLACED THE ANTI-ICE VALVE.
DURING TEST OF EMERGENCY FLOOR PATH LIGHTING, FOUND LIGHTS INOPERATIVE AT SEAT ROWS 19-21 AND 25-27. MAINTENANCE REPLACED THE BATTERY PACK, OPERATIONAL CHECK OK.

DURING CLIMBOUT, FLIGHT ATTENDANT HEARD A LOUD NOISE IN THE AFT GALLEY AREA. NOISE STOPPED WHEN THE AFT GALLEY DRAIN WAS USED. AIRCRAFT RETURND TO LAX AND LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. THE AFT GALLEY DRAIN WAS BLOCKED OFF AND DEFERRED.
DURING LINE MAINTENANCE, THE EMERGENCY LIGHTS TEST FAULTED INT LOADS L, EXT LOADS FWD L, BATTERY FWD L AND UNIT FWD L. REPLACED POWER SUPPLY AND BATTERY PACK, OPERATIONAL CHECK OK.
WHILE ADDING POWER FOR TAKEOFF ROLL, LOST NOSE WHEEL STEERING. TAKEOFF WAS ABORTED AT APPROXIMATELY 10 KNOTS. AFTER COMING TO A STOP, CREW RESET THE ANTI-SKID NOSE WHEEL STEERING SWITCH, CLEARED THE RUNWAY, AND RETURNED TO THE GATE. MAINTENANCE REPLACED THE FIRST OFFICER'S STEERING CONTROL UNIT WITH NO HELP. AFTER CONFERRING WITH THE SHOP, REMOVED COVER FROM THE NEW STEERING UNIT AND FOUND CORROSION BUILD-UP INSIDE ON CONNECTOR. CLEANED CORROSION FROM THE UNIT. OPERATIONAL CHECK OK.
DURING LINE MAINTENANCE, ROWS 13, 14, 15, 19, 20, 21, 25, 26, AND 27 ESCAPE PATH LIGHTS WERE FOUND INOPERATIVE. REPLACED BATTERY PACK. OPERATIONAL CHECK OK.
DURING TAKEOFF ROLL, THE ENGINES WERE NOT ACCELERATING EVENLY. TAKEOFF WAS ABORTED AT APPROXIMATELY 10 TO 15 KNOTS. MAINTENANCE INSPECTION REVEALED NO DISCREPANCIES. ENGINES OPERATIONAL CHECK OK.
AT 25,000 FEET DURING CLIMB, THE AIRCRAFT ROLLED RIGHT AND ELAC NR 1 FAULTED. RESET WAS OK, THREE MINUTES LATER THE AIRCRAFT ROLLED AGAIN WITH FAULT DISPLAY SYSTEM INDICATING ELAC NR 2 MALFUNCTION. AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO MSP AND LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. REPLACED BOTH SIDE STICK CONTROLLERS AND NR 1 AND NR 2 FLIGHT MANAGEMENT GUIDANCE COMPUTERS AND NR 1 AND NR 2 ELEVATOR AILERON COMPUTERS. DURING TEST FLIGHT, ALL SYSTEMS CHECKED NORMAL.
