DURING OTHER MX TO CLEAN AN INTERNAL FUEL BAY IT WAS NOTED THAT THERE WAS A BLACK STREAK GOING BOTH UP FROM AND DOWN FROM THE FUEL QUANTITY WIRE HARNESS CONNECTOR INSIDE THE FUEL BAY OF THE LEFT WING. REMOVED THE CONNECTOR FROM THE BULKHEAD AND FOUND THAT THE BACKSHELL WAS FULL OF FUEL. A PRECAUTIONARY CHECK OF THE RT WING HAS DETERMINED THAT THE SAME CONDITION EXISTS IN THAT WING TOO.

ON CLIMB-OUT FOR A RETURN FLIGHT, ENG FIRE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. DID MEMORY ITEMS, CONTACTED ATC AND STARTED TURN AND DECENT BACK TO DEPARTURE. LANDED BACK AT DEPARTURE WITH NO INCIDENT. ON THE TAXIWAY THE ENGINE FIRE WARNING LIGHT WENT OUT. WORK PERFORMED BY MECHANIC TROUBLESHOOTING SYS, BY VISUALLY INSP OF SYS, NO DEFECTS ON FIRE WIRE ALSO VISUALLY INSPECTED WIRES FOR CONNECTOR PLUG TO FIRE WALL, CONNECTOR NO DEFECTS NOTED PERFORMED FIRE WARNING ELECTRICAL TEST, OPS CK GOOD. ALSO, PERFORMED ENGINE RUN AND COULD NOT DUPLICATE PROBLEM. OPS CK GOOD IAW CURRENT PC-12/45 AMM CHAP 12-A-26-10-00-00A-040A-A.

DURING 100 HOUR INSPECTION 2 IDENTICAL CRACKS WERE NOTICED ON THE UPPER VERTICAL STABILIZER, DIRECTLY ABOVE THE RUDDER AND MIGRATING FORWARD APPROXIMATELY 4.5 INCHES. AFTER CONTACTING MANUFACTURER, IT WAS SUGGESTED THAT THE BOTTOM FAIRING OF THE VERTICAL STAB WAS NOT MANUFACTURED WIDE ENOUGH AND THE SKINS HAD TO BE SQUEEZED FOR THE PROPER INSTALLATION OF THE FAIRING. A REPAIR WAS APPROVED AND PERFORMED TO STRENGTHEN THE SKINS IN THAT AREA.
