DURING FLIGHT INTERMITTENT SMELL OF SMOKE. AFT OVERHEAD LIGHT TURNED OFF SMELL DISSIPATED. INSPECTED AIRCRAFT NO DISCREPANCIES NOTED. OPENED VENTS IN LIGHT/VENT ASSEMBLY ALLOWING AIR TO CIRCULATE. (INFREQUENTLY USED INCANDESCENT LIGHT) SMELL DID NOT RETURN. NVIS FILTER REMOVED AND RE-INSTALLED WITH SPECIFIED ADHESIVE.
GENERATOR ADVISER LIGHT ILLUMINATED WITH DECLINING VOLTAGE. Z1 VOLTAGE REGULATOR CARD REMOVED, TIME SINCE REPAIR 10HRS 55MIN. INSTALLED SERVICEABLE CARD FUNCTION CHECKED GOOD.
BURNING SMELL & SMOKE IN THE CABIN. AIR CONDITIONING & FAN TURNED OFF & IT SUBSIDED. AIR CONDITIONER COMPRESSOR INTERNAL FAILURE.
IN CRUISE FLIGHT, CREW SMELLED WHAT WAS AT FIRST BELIEVED TO BE AN ELECTRICAL ODOR. CREW ELECTED TO MAKE A PRECAUTIONARY LANDING. MX REVEALED VISUALLY INSPECTED AND FOUND THE FDC AIR INTAKE FILTER HAD BEEN RECENTLY CLEANED AND SERVICED AND THE BLUE OIL HAD BEEN APPLIED IN A MANNER WHICH ALLOWED THE OIL TO DRIP ONTO THE HOT SECTION OF THE ENGINE AND SMOKE. THIS CREATED THE ODOR THE CREW SMELLED. CLEANED THE EXCESS OIL AND ACFT RETURNED TO SERVICE WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT.
