PILOT REPORTED FUEL LEAKING FROM RIGHT WING TIP WHILE EN ROUTE. INSPECTION OF THE WING TIP REVEALED OUTBOARD VENT SURGE TANK "SUMP DRAIN" WAS LOCKED IN THE OPEN POSITION. AIRCRAFT STARTED LEAKING FUEL AT THE WING TIP AFTER FLIGHT CONFIGURATIONS ALLOWED FUEL TO ENTER THE VENT SURGE TANK. AIRCRAFT WAS CLEANED OF FUEL AND THE DRAIN RESET TO THE CLOSED POSITION. MAINTENANCE PERFORMED A LEAK CHECK OF THE FUEL STORAGE SYSTEM WHILE PERFORMING AN OPERATION CHECK OF THE FUEL TRANSFER SYSTEM. VERIFIED CONDITION OF SUMP DRAIN TO BE GOOD. UNABLE TO DUPLICATE LEAK ON THE GROUND. MAINTENANCE LEFT DRAIN OPEN WHILE INSPECTING WING TANKS.
DIFFICULTY OCCURED UPON DESCENT. PILOT RECIEVED A WARNING PITCH TRIM WAS NOT SYNCRONIZED WITH AUTOPILOT SYSTEM AND TO PREPARE FOR RESISTANCE WHEN AUTOPILOT IS DISCONNECTED. PITCH TRIM ACTUATOR WAS FOUND INOPERATIVE IN THE EMERGENCY MODE/AUTOPILOT MODE. REPLACED PITCH TRIM UNIT AND RETURNED AIRCRAFT TO SERVICE. THIS AIRCRAFT WAS LAST INSPECTED ON 11-9-06 AT 1408.6 TT.

DIFFICULTY OCCURRED UPON DESCENT. PILOT DISENGAGED AUTO-PILOT AND FELT RESISTANCE IN THE ELEVATOR CONTROL SYSTEM. ON INSPECTION OF THE SYSTEM THE AUTO-PILOT ACTUATOR WAS FOUND PARTIALLY ENGAGED. UNIT WAS REPLACED AND THE AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO SERVICE. THIS AIRCRAFT WAS LAST INSPECTED ON 11/28/2006 AT 218HR.
