RIGHT ENGINE FCU PUSHROD (FCU CONTROL ROD) ADJUSTMENT TURNBUCKLE JAMNUTS LOOSENED AND THE TURNBUCKLE BACKED OUT LENGTHENING THE PUSHROD OVERALL LENGTH CAUSING LOW ENGINE POWER. BOTH JAMNUTS WERE FOUND SAFETIED ONLY TO THE TURNBUCKLE INSTEAD OF TO THE TURNBUCKLE AND THE RESPECTIVE TUBE SAFETY HOLE WHICH DID NOT PREVENT ROTATION OF THE TURNBUCKLE WHEN THE JAMNUTS LOOSENED. THE FCU PUSHROD WAS RESET TO THE PROPER LENGTH AND THE JAMNUTS TIGHTENED AND SAFETIED IN ACCORDANCE WITH AC 43.13-1B CHG 1, FIG 7-5A, EXAMPLE 15.
NR 2 AC INVERTER FAILED IN FLIGHT FOLLOWED BY A SMOKE SMELL IN THE COCKPIT. THE SMELL QUICKLY DISSIPATED AND CONTINUED TO DESTINATION. THE INVERTER WAS REMOVED AND NOT FOUND TO HAVE ANY SIGNS OF OVERHEATING OR OTHER VISIBLE DAMAGE. INSTALLED AN OVERHAULED UNIT AND ACFT RETURNED TO SERVICE.
DURING A JUMP RUN, WHILE IN CRUISE, THE LT ENGINE CHIP LIGHT FLICKERED MOMENTARILY & THEN THE ENGINE SHUT DOWN. RETURNED TO THE DEPARTURE & LANDED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. SUSPECT CATASTROPHIC FAILURE OF THE LT ENGINE. R & R ENGINE. ACFT RETURNED TO SERVICE. TEARDOWN OF FAILED ENGINE, DETERMINED THAT ONE OF THE GEARS ON THE TORQUE SENSOR DRIVE HAD A CATASTROPHIC FAILURE, BREAKING INTO THREE SECTIONS & DROPPED METAL TO THE BOTTOM OF THE GEARBOX. THIS CAUSED THE FUEL CONTROL DRIVE TRAIN TO STOP ROTATING, SHUTTING DOWN THE ENG. THIS PREVENTED THE SCAVENGE PUMP & OIL PUMPS FROM MOVING DEBRIS THROUGH THE REST OF THE ENGINE.
DURING A ROUTINE INSPECTION, MAINTENANCE DISCOVERED THE PILOT'S RUDDER PEDAL ADJUSTMENT SHAFT SUPPORT CRACKED. AIRCRAFT WAS TAKEN OUT OF SERVICE AND REPLACEMENT PART IS ON ORDER.
THE LEFT ENGINE FIRE WARNING LIGHT FLICKERED DURING THE TAKEOFF ROLL. THE CO-PILOT CALLED THE LIGHT AND THE PIC ABORTED THE TAKEOFF. NO SECONDARY INDICATIONS WERE OBSERVED. PIC CONFIRMED THAT THE ENGINE WAS NOT ON FIRE AND PERFORMED A NORMAL SHUTDOWN. MAINTENANCE DISCOVERED TWO WIRES THAT WERE CHAFED AND SHORTING. MAINTENANCE REPAIRED THE CHAFING WIRES AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.
DURING CLIMB AFTER TAKEOFF, THE PILOTS RUDDER PEDALS MOVED ALL THE WAY FORWARD. THE COPILOT TOOK OVER AND SAFELY LANDED THE AIRCRAFT. MAINTENANCE INVESTIGATED AND DISCOVED THE PILOTS RUDDER PEDAL ADJUSTMENT MOUNT BRACKET HAD BROKEN OFF IT'S MOUNT ALLOWING THE RUDDER PEDALS TO SLIDE FORWARD.
DURING A ROUTINE CORROSION INSP, A MX FOUND A CRACK IN THE CTR WING LOWER ATTACH FITTING FRON THE FWD BOLT HOLE TO THE END OF THE FITTING, MX REMOVED THE OUTER WING FROM THE CTR WING AND PERFORMED NDT INSP ON ALL ATTACH FITTINGS. DURING THE NDT THE OUTER WING UPPER AND LOWER ATTACH BRACKETS WERE FOUND CRACKED, THE CRACKS STARTING FROM BOLTS HOLES AND MOVING FWD. MX REPLACED ALL 3 FITTING IAW THE MFG INSTRUCTIONS.
