A CRACK APPROXIMATELY 2.5 INCHES LONG WAS NOTICED IN THE UPPER PORTION OF THE TURBO CHARGER ATTACH BRACKET. UPON REMOVAL OF FROM THE ENGINE MOUNT NUMEROUS CRACKS WERE NOTED RUNNING ALONG WELDS AND THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE ASSEMBLY. SUBSEQUENT REMOVAL OF THE TURBO MOUNTING ASSEMBLY ON THE RIGHT ENGINE REVEALED CRACKS IN MANY OF THE SAME AREAS. THE CRACKS ARE DIFFICULT TO DETECT UNLESS THE ASSEMBLY IS REMOVED FROM THE ENGINE MOUNT. BOTH UNITS HAVE 303.5 HOURS SINCE NEW. PICTURES OF THESE UNITS ARE AVAILABLE AT YOUR REQUEST.

UNSCHEDULED LANDING WAS MADE DUE TO RIGHT ENGINE SURGING. EXAMINATION OF ENGINE REVEALED A 1 X 2 INCH SECTION OF DUCT WAS MISSING BETWEEN THE AIR BOX AND THROTTLE BODY. PART OF DUCT SEPARATED AND WENT THROUGH INDUCTION SYSTEM AND CYLINDER CAUSING TEMPORARY SURGING. REPLACED DUCT ON BOTH ENGINES. ENGINE RUN UP WAS NORMAL.
DURING ROUTINE INSPECTION AFTER AIRCRAFT WAS PAINTED, FOUND CRACK IN HINGE. FOUND UPPER RIVETS WORKING ON OUTBOARD RIB FLANGE. REMOVED ELEVATOR TIP CAP AND FOUND OUTBOARD RIB ATTACHMENT HOLES MISSING REAR PART OF RIB. REPLACED RIB AND RIB FLANGE. STOP DRILLED CRACK AND INSTALLED SURFACE PATCH. BALANCED ELEVATOR AND REINSTALLED. SUSPECT CAUSE DUE TO IMPROPER ASSEMBLY DURING MANUFACTURE AND ELEVATOR OUT OF BALANCE AFTER BEING PAINTED.
