AFTER THE LANDING GEAR HANDLE WAS MOVED TO THE DOWN POSITION BOTH MAIN LANDING GEAR INDICATED DOWN AND LOCKED BY A GREEN LIGHT, HOWEVER THE NOSE LANDING GEAR INDICATION REMAINED RED. THE PILOT TERMINATED HIS APPROACH AND INITIATED A CLIMB TO EVALUATE THE SITUATION. THE PILOT CONTACTED SALT LAKE CENTER AND DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND SQUAWKED 7700. ATC GAVE HIM A DISCRETE SQUAWK CODE WHICH HE ENTERED. CONTINUED HIS CLIMB TO 16,000 FEET AND RAN THROUGH THE EMERGENCY CHECK LIST. ACTIVATED THE HAND PUMP 5-8 TIMES AND THE NOSE GEAR GREEN LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND THE RED LIGHT WENT OUT. CONTINUED ON TO AND MADE AN UNEVENTFUL LANDED AT KSLC. THE GROUND SERVICE VALVE WAS REPLACED AND THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM WAS SERVICED UNDER WORK ORDER M3601.
DEPARTING KEKO HEADED TO KSLC CLIMBING THROUGH 8,000 FEET MSL ONE OF THE MEDICAL CREW MEMBERS REPORTED A BURNT SMELL. THEY DESCRIBED THE SMELL AS SOMETHING LIKE A BELT SLIPPING. THE PILOT INDICATED HE HAD NO INDICATIONS OF ISSUES UP FRONT AND COULD NOT SMELL WHAT THEY SMELLED. HE ASKED THE CREW IF THEY WANTED TO RETURN TO BASE AND THE CREW RESPONDED NO THE SMELL WAS FAINT AND TO CONTINUE. THE PILOT WAS CLEARED TO FL190 AND CONTINUED TO CLIMB. ABOUT 2 MINUTES LATER THE PILOT DID SMELL WHAT THE CREW HAD REPORTED. HE PUT ON HIS O2 MASK AND RETURNED TO KEKO WITH NO FURTHER ISSUES. DURING TROUBLESHOOTING BY THE MECHANISTIC IT WAS DETERMINED THE GARMIN GTN650 HAD A DIODE OR RESISTOR THAT HAD GONE BAD AND SMOKED. A REPLACEMENT GTN 650 WAS INSTALLED WITH NO FURTHER ISSUES.
EXPERIENCED A MASTER WARNING & FIRE INDICATION ON THE NR 2 ENG, SHORTLY AFTER GETTING INTO SOME HEAVY PRECIPITATION. THE PILOT RESET THE MASTER WARNING, BOTH THE MASTER WARNING & ENG FIRE INDICATION WENT OUT. ALL OTHER ENG PARAMETERS WERE NORMAL. HE ASKED THE MEDICAL CREW TO LOOK OUT AT THE ENG & THEY REPORTED EVERYTHING LOOKED NORMAL. SHORTLY AFTER BOTH INDICATIONS CAME ON AGAIN. THE PILOT RESET THE MASTER WARNING, BOTH THE MASTER WARNING & ENG FIRE INDICATION WENT OUT. THIS HAPPENED 1 MORE TIME WHILE HE WAS SETTING UP FOR THE APPROACH. THE 3RD TIME HE RESET THE MASTER WARNING THE ENG FIRE INDICATION STAYED ON. THE PILOT SHUT THE ENG DOWN, DISCHARGED THE ENG FIRE EXTINGUISHING BOTTLE & LANDED SAFELY.
STRESS AND FATIQUE PROBABLE CAUSE. INAPPROPRIATE PREVIOUS REPAIRS. CHAIR WAS REPAIRED IAW STC STO1042WI AND DWG D-103943.
ATTEMPTED TO TAXI, ACFT WOULD NOT MOVE. FOUND THE LT BRAKE FROZEN. REMOVED LT MLG WHEEL AND TIRE ASSY AND FOUND LT BRAKE ASSY DISC HAD COME APART. LEFT BRAKE ASSY REMOVED. INSTALLED O/H BRAKE ASSY IAW AMM 32-42-01. BLEED, LEAK AND OPS CHECKED SATISFACTORY.
