THE AIRCRAFT AND ENGINE MANUFACTURERS HAVE BEEN INFORMED AND INVOLVED FOR APPROPRIATE ACTIONS. THE OPERATOR WAS PROMPTLY NOTIFIED.

AFTER MAINTENANCE WAS DISPATCHED TO THE AIRCRAFT AN INVESTIGATION OF THE NO. 1 ENGINE FOUND THAT THE ALTERNATOR HAS SHEARED ITS SHAFT AND THAT THE OIL VACATED THE ENGINE THROUGH THAT OPENING. A FADEC READING HAS BEEN DIRECTED TO BE ACCOMPLISHED AND THE FINDINGS WILL DETERMINE WHAT ACTION WILL BE TAKEN NEXT.

ATTACH BOLT (800XP IPC 32-10-00-10 NO. 180). 1 (OF 4) MOUNTING LUG SHOWS POSSIBLE EVIDENCE OF PRE-EXISTING CRACK APPROX HALFWAY THROUGH LUG. FAILURE MODE UNKOWN, POSSIBLY CAUSED BY DOOR MISRIGGING OR FATIGUE. RECOMMEND MFG INVESTIGATE WHETHER A RELATIVELY ISOLATED INCIDENT OR IF MORE FREQUENT OR MORE DETAILED INSPECTIONS ARE WARRANTED.
